"Individual buildings for the rooms make things quiet"

"Overall the property provided good value. The staff were pleasant and very helpful and management was engaging. The beach was very excellent. Also there were enough places to stay out of the sun both around the pools and on the beach. The only drawback that I could comment on would be the slow service when it came to drinks. There were few roving waiters to take your order and if you went to the pool bar to order your own drinks the wait was usually 4-8 people deep depending on the time. Not a major drawback for us but something to consider."

"The pools were excellent and the staff was also great. Ate at all of the restaurants. Only disappointment was the steak restaurant. The steak was very mediocre. The Italian and Sushi restaurants were outstanding, and the Mexican, buffet, and pizza places were good. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The alcohol was ok, definitely plenty of it but had to try a few different drinks early to find things that tasted great and then stick with them. "

"Just returned home from Mayakoba and we absolutely loved it! The property is beautiful and the rooftop bar looking over the ocean was our favourite! Arrive at 6 pm for a complimentary mixology class and then sip your cocktail while enjoying the stunning sunset. We also loved our complimentary river cruise throughout Mayakoba. In my opinion, The Fairmont is the most beautiful of the four hotels. We didn't have a problem finding loungers throughout the day by the pools or beach. They don't allow you to reserve them, so there's always options. The restaurants were delicious, we loved them all. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend The Fairmont Mayakoba if you're looking for quiet luxury in Mexico. "

"The food was excellent. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant. The resort was extremely clean. They were even painting one of the buildings as im sure they constantly have to do. Having the resort located just a block away from 5th Ave was wonderful and convenient for nightly walks. The entertainment was very provocative and would have preferred something a little bit more wholesome "
