"Best buffet. We ate til our hearts content. The bathroom is very outdated and small so our family used the onsen daily, it had a wonderful view anyways. The hotel is Very remote and difficult to get to, but well worth it. "

"This hotel was very old and could only accomodate 3 people at a time in each gendered onsen. These were enclosed spaces and not open air, but were beautiful. The room itself was comfortable, we chose Japanese style and it was a fun experience. The breakfast was filling and worth doing if you don't mind working to pick apart your fish."

"Located up a steep 45 degree hill, so take the hotel up on their offer when they say they will pick you up! 400m doesn’t seem far until you drag luggage up that hill in 32 degrees Celsius heat and humidity! Booked as a break from the city, and to get views of Mount Fuji from the cable car ride accessible from the nearby station. Loved our stay! Room food and staff all excellent. We should have booked longer to explore the area in more detail and loved relaxing in the open air bath."

"The room was really spacious and provided us the option of having western and Japanese style room and we really liked it. We didn’t use the facilities because of lack of time but the hotel has pool and public baths. Location wise the hotel is a 10min walking from the bus stop (Hakone free pass) or 4 mins walking from the other bus line in Hakone. There aren’t many restaurants around so plan ahead as the only ones around closed around 8pm."
