"This property is actually exceptional for the current price, its much different then hotel stays in the US. The rooms are smaller but probably normal for the area where space is a premium. The only difficulty that I had is that Google brings you from the train to the property next store that is also labeled as Grand Kanachu but it is closed for renovation. "This property surprised me as I’d been stuck in Hakone due to the typhoon so dediced to move to odawara station so I was closer to the action - and easier to leave the area when I could. I stayed for one night - it is a little confusing to get to the hotel, but follow the instructions to the letter and you will get there. "Super close to Ebina station (~7min walk), McDonald is near, and there is a gigantic mall&outlets literally a few dozen steps away. Toyoko inn is classic business hotel franchise all across Japan with affordable prices and handly locations. I love it! My only nicpick is that, there's only 1 conveinent store near it. I wish there are some varieties."

"It is a historic hotel so expect the look to be a little dated, however, that is what adds charm to it. Overall a comfortable hotel, bathroom not so great (review is for FORESTWING TWIN FOREST SIDE). French restaurant is very nice for dinner as well as breakfast, it feels a little formal but a nice experience. Hotel garden is nice, staff is very helpful."

"This hotel was excellent - fantastic and helpful service, very clean both in the rooms and in the common areas, great food, serene atmosphere, and generously sized rooms. Our room had a balcony with a private onsen, which was absolutely worth the splurge. The view was beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy the futons were when we slept. The location was convenient to the bus lines but still so peaceful and quiet. 10/10 stars, without hesitation. I would love to come back!"

"Staff is very responsive and attentive. Having an in room onsen is great so that we can take a dip in it any time we like. Although the property is a little out of the way, they can always take you to near by bus or train station upon request. Dinner and breakfast are served inside the room. You sit on the floor and the table is about 12-14" high. Sitting cross leg may be uncomfortable to those who are not used to it. Getting up from that sitting position may be difficult for some."
