"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Akao Hotel in Atami, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning ocean views and the hotel's incredible location perched along the coastline. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and designed to maximize the breathtaking scenery—waking up to the sound of the waves and the sunrise over the water was truly magical. The onsen (hot springs) was a highlight, offering a serene and rejuvenating soak while overlooking the endless sea. The hospitality was outstanding. The staff was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The dining experience was equally impressive, with fresh, beautifully prepared Japanese cuisine that showcased local flavors. Beyond the hotel, Atami itself is a charming getaway with beautiful gardens, relaxing beaches, and rich cultural sites. The hotel's proximity to these attractions makes it an excellent base for exploring the area. "Convenient for the theme park, but food wise, everything about a 20-30 mins walk away. That said, hotel itself is comfortable and the onsen was pretty good! "

"Checkin was efficient & well explained. Provided with a code to access room. No key. Pleasantly surprised on entering the room with great view of Mt Fuji from the window. Room very comfortable with 2 beds, a separate sitting area Japanese style, kettle with amenities available from reception. Staff were very good & very attentive to requirements. Access to a rooftop area to admire Mt Fuji. We were lucky with clear days. Breakfast was included with my room - either Japanese cuisine , which was very tasty or international - egg & ham sandwich. Coffee, tea , juices are available. Ate at the restaurant which had a limited menu of 2 items. The ramen was very tasty. Hotel is approx half hour walk from kawaguchiko station. Also a short walk to the lake. Restaurants in the locality requiring a walk from the hotel. Bicycles are also available for hire to explore the area. I enjoyed my stay at Haostay & thank the staff for welcoming nature. Would recommend Haostay. "
