"The owners and staff were very warm and welcoming. However, the structure was old and a little tired looking. Our sleeping room only had one electrical outlet with a lamp plugged into it. It had the area for the table and chairs, which then became the sleep area for 2 people with the traditional mats and in the other part of the room were 2 twin beds. "The best part of our stay was the bedroom location. We had shakara room which is in the front and most private. There are rooms that have to walk either across the temple for shared bathroom or right next to the bathroom where there may be more noise. Not a fan of the only one bathroom. "The front desk are really helpful. I had problems with communications on my car bookings and Takayama tickets. They were so patient in helping me. If you are a foreign guest , this hotel is great. The rooms are spacious. The soft jazz music in the lounge is lovely. It’s location is great. Lots of good eateries nearby. Check out Cafe Basque for a lovely small restaurant with reasonable good Spanish food with good vibes. Prices are decent. "
