"I would have given 5 stars. It was historic, glamorous and super clean. The staff were friendly and fantastic. Water pressure in shower was best I've ever had in a hotel. However--weird problem. I could not figure out how to turn the lights off next to the beds. I tried every switch in the room. Examined the lights. Could not figure it out. I called downstairs and they said they'd send someone, but never did. It's not a huge problem, but if you like to sleep in the dark, it is. So I ended up...

"The hotel is beautiful and the staff takes beautiful care of their guests. The complementary coffee that they offer in the morning is very good, which we appreciated. You can easily walk to the mall, the Smithsonian museums, lovely neighborhoods, and good food. The junior suite is lovely. There is room to stretch out. The bed was quite comfortable. "

"Kimberly is the best!!! I have been going to this hotel almost every year for decades and I love it!! Staff is amazing, buffet breakfast and rooftop are unbeatable, apts are very large, ideal for longer stays or cold months. Location is very good, walking distance to everything, including shopping, Central Park, metro, etc. Nice beds and sheets, very clean and comfortable. Large kitchen. I totally recommend it!!"

"This hotel is really in the Center of the City. A cab driver said that the area is returning with many restaurants, galleries, and entertainment and getting busier. The hotel is an old building with very good modernization. The room was not huge. Due to space limitations, the bathroom is shower-only without a tub. It works for me. I spend most of my stay outside of the room anyway. There are several restaurants and bars around, which is very convenient. Real Rittenhouse Square is a few blocks away. Enjoy the Center City (downtown) of Philadelphia!"
