"Beautiful place- in room onsen was lovely. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Well organized. I enjoyed the daily teas and coffee in the lobby as well as the ice cream. The Kaiseke dinner was a very cool experience to try local food in a nice presentation."

"The diverse and quality breakfast buffet at Ocean Terrace restaurant impressed me during my stay at Intercontinental Yokohama Grand. Initially, I dined outside the hotel, but I found the breakfast to be exceptionally enjoyable and would return. I celebrated my birthday at the French restaurant Azur, which exceeded my expectations with its exceptional food and service. The hotel staff consistently provided prompt and professional assistance via email. The first-floor staff members I interacted with were friendly and supportive. Notably, a housekeeping staff member demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and respect for customers’ space and privacy. Although the facility conditions were not ideal due to years of use, my room on the higher floors with a harbor view and ample space was spacious enough. I recommend this hotel to those visiting Yokohama."

"Everything was great"

"This hotel offered breathtaking views of the lake. My husband and I opted for a room with a private open air bath which was amazing. Note though that the bath only fits one person at a time, and there is no view of the lake which was disappointing. Instead we faced a weird parking lot. The staff is very kind and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. The food has good options, but it is the same dishes everyday. The free wine and beer was a nice touch! Some tips on the area: there is not much immediately around the hotel. You will need to take the bus or ropeway to access other things. We LOVED the open air museum which was a 30 minute bus ride away. The hotel offers a shuttle from the train station to the hotel (it’s about an hour away) Make your reservations to the train station in advance! We were unable to get a reservation because they were already booked. We ended up taking a bus to and from Shinjuku (Tokyo) which was really easy because it was a straight shot to and from the hotel. Lastly, I was surprised how many small children were at the hotel. There were several that were loud and screamed a lot during our dinner, and then breakfast the next morning. We didn’t love that since this was supposed to be about rest and relaxation. We spoke to the staff moved us to a quieter dining area."
