"That was great to stay at Karan hotel. We’v got there little early and I didn’t expect that we can check in! We loved welcome drink and wet towels when we checked in. Also we loved rental bicycles. We could move around in Kyoto so smooth. And we loved the bathroom so nice."

"Super convenient location since the subway runs in the same building. Concierge was a little less helpful than I’m used to. Rooms were also smaller than expected but I’ve heard that’s just a Tokyo thing. Great view and the restaurant / breakfast was excellent! I really enjoyed staying in this area too since it’s a bit more quiet than what you normally get in Tokyo. "

"Spent four days at Gagakuan, satisfied, although unexpected cold weather even in spring. Late sakura blooming, still managed to view some. Did not follow tour, rather venture on our own. Visited places of interest but unable to cover all due to insufficient time, maybe next time would to come again. "

"期待通りの建物、設備、インテリアでした。表面的に形を整えるだけのホテルも多い中、きちんと本物を揃えて品がよく、お料理も最高です。接客が不親切みたいなレビューがありましたが、押し付けがましくないサービスなだけで、客が求めれば気持ちよく対応してくれました。確かに接客要員全員がホテルマンとして同じレベルかというと、そこまでではないかもですが、でもそれはそれで人間味もあり、ホテルというより別荘的に考えると全然気になりません。 あちこち移動せず、ここを拠点に自然の中でのんびりする旅を季節毎に楽しみたくなる素晴らしい、日本には滅多にないホテルだと思います。この機会に狩猟かフライフィッシング始めようかと思ってしまいました。"
