"The staff was okay but seemed to be short staffed. The cable TV was out in the whole hotel 6 days we were there. We were finally told the hotel had not paid their cable bill! This was shocking and unacceptable in a 4 star hotel to have no TV reception at all for 6 days. "

"I have stayed in hotels in the surrounding LES that cost twice as much and I got way more at The Ridge. I stayed three nights in two different rooms that were equally as clean; the bathroom fixtures and bedding were in great condition. The 7th floor deck is an added bonus to chill out, with views of the city (this is the "resort fee" $40). The front desk people were accommodating and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Great place to stay. We were able to check in early and got to check in late too. Just what we needed; a place to sleep at night that is safe. Our room had no window and was a basic bunk but that’s what we paid for and it was perfect. Staff lovely and very helpful and caring!! Chinatown was great location too. Loved our stay in NYC!!!"

"Hard to speak of it because oddly enough I did not end up staying there. You see, the hotel was fully booked when we arrived despite us making reservations. But thankfully, the guy (Frankie) at the front desk was kid and helpful and solution-oriented enough to put as at a second hotel owned by same owner 2 blocks away that was far better for the original cost! "Great location, very accessible. Toilettries were provided. Rooms remind more jail cells, no windows, no solid ceiling, no AC, fan only. I was able to see the light through the mesh board on my ceiling and I heard very clearly staff talking at the reception. Other than small room size condition of the bathroom is not the best. I took shower, it was no shelf inside to put your soap, ceiling was loft type with exposed piping and dripping to the floor. Hot water boiler was a nice surprise. I would...

"Listen folks, if you are low on funds and need to stay in Manhattan for a night, this will suffice. I don't recommend couples coming here for a sexy night because the walls are thin and the ceilings are like mesh. You can hear everything. I'd say it's clean, but you can't clean built in grime. Great location. Nice staff."
