Only downside was there was nothing in the room to choose whether you had towels replaced. They replaced them after the first night so not very eco friendly, please provide the option to keep towels"

"The London House hotel completely met our expectations. The room was small and there were no modern amenities (e.g. gym, pool, etc) but we spent almost no time in the hotel; that was not why we were in London! Very clean, great maid service, friendly staff, fully updated - just what we needed."

"We had the most lovely stay at Royal Lancaster. A family of three, we had a great corner room that was very comfortable, both the main bed (especially) and even the twin- which usually these are not so comfortable. Everything was immaculate and the rooms were very convenient in closet and drawer/wardrobe space. Residential area which is nice and quiet , right across from Hyde Park. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, recommend to try it. It has many nice options, both healthy and indulgent. Doreen, the manager, is absolutely amazing. She is so warm and pleasant, and made our stay absolutely perfect. They gave us a nice welcome birthday amenity (mini cake) and fruit and had our room ready as quickly as possible. Everyone is lovely and the property is modern (bathroom is a bit smaller but nice) and clean, and overall just wonderful. The automatic day and night shades also helped for these long summer days. I would highly recommend it for all ages. It is not in the middle of the bustling areas which we liked. But, you can still walk to things (probably about 20-25 min to Marble Arch etc) and take a taxi. 5 stars! "

"Hotel us in an excellent location for exploring London as only a few minutes walk away from a tube station. Staff are friendly and helpful and always available. Our room was slightly dated but spotless and more than adequate for our stay. The air con was a welcome bonus! Breakfast was plentiful, hot and very tasty. This was my first visit to London but I'll definitely be back and will book here again, great value for money. Also such a bonus being directly opposite Hyde Park, lovely for a stroll in the evening. "The location is brilliant, hotel is great for the price. We had 2 double rooms, one was a a small double bed, not big enough for 2 adults and the other room has 2 single beds pushed together to make a big double. If your booking its maybe best to select a twin rather than having a tiny bed. Everything was fine, I feel the reviews are very harsh. I would definitely stay again and recommend. "
