"A slice of heaven - amazing staff with unbeatable service delivery. Amazing food, fantastic spa. The only thing I would recommend is a later meal offering in the hotel - either room service or casual dining as it is very hard to get a meal in Gora after 7pm. "

We had dinner at the property and it was delicious and quite a treat. Anyone planning to stay should know that this property is not very walkable. It is not only further away than other properties, it is on a hillside. We utilized taxis a great deal. This property was also not clean. There was mold growing on the walls and bugs (mosquitos?) smashed...

"We were worried about what the in-room half open bath would be like, but it exceeded our expectations. Even though it rained when we arrived, it certainly gave a different vibe. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff we dealt with were very friendly! If we get a chance to go again, we definitely want to stay for 2 nights to try the different kaiseki dinner options and check out the other private onsen options. "

"I miss Hotel Okada so much! Wish we had stayed 3 nights instead of 2. Or even more! 20 min walk into town if you can't catch a cab. Older hotel, but still very clean and comfortable. The onsen was such an incredible experience for us. THE BUFFET!!! Oh my lord, all you can eat sashimi and more! Different, traditional, Japanese food than what we are used to in North America.
