Hotel Monterey Group, Sendai hotels

"The hotel was conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from the JR station, although if one is new to Sendai, it could be a bit hard to find since it's not on a main road. It was however very convenient to access the Sendai subway and buses, as well as shopping and dining options in the area. The hotel seems to be recently renovated as the interior was well furnished. There is a self-check in requirement which is a bit new for me, but otherwise it was smooth. My room was well-equipped and was comfortable. It was fairly standard for Japanese accommodations so I don't have any complaints. The wifi worked well and I enjoyed a very pleasant night's sleep. There was no complimentary breakfast offered, but it was not a big deal for me. The luggage storage was also self-served and requires an IC card. There were instructions in English so it wasn't hard to figure out. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would consider again for future stays in Sendai. "

"The whole process, from communication before check-in to storing my luggage there after check-out, was very smooth. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious, signage was foreigner-friendly, and there was a great range of amenities and supplies provided. The bed and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. My only wish is for a lobby or public seating area for leisure aside from the hotel room, and perhaps a map and suggestions of things to do in Sendai."
