"What an amazing hotel. This just felt luxury as we turned into it! The staff were amazing, the rooms were amazing and then the added perks of a guest lounge with free snacks/soft drinks and the amazing hot bath/onsen. We will definitely reccomend this to anyone as it’s a 6 minute train/walk from Kyoto station and a 20 minute walk from gion."

"The marketing photo of the chapel is not the lobby, and I believe it’s only assessable for private event. Anyhow, the hotel comes with public hot bath, with one outdoor and sauna. Good for a long day walk. Room is kinda small for my use as I don’t have ample space to open up my luggage’s. Location is quite decent, easy assess to the locations I wanted to go "

"The property itself wasn’t bad. The area was a bit of walk though. Maybe about 8-10 from the train station. We tried to pay for breakfast with about 30-45 minutes left and were turned away which was odd.. "

"Tokyu hotel was a pleasant stay. The location is convenient and close to the metro and bus stops, there were also a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. The room was clean, and included a washer/dryer combo. The staff were very helpful, and spoke English. I would recommend this hotel. "

"This hotel is in a great location, kept up impeccably well, and at a reasonable price (for Kyoto!). Rooms here are small (you’ll have to live out of your luggage) but the beds and bathrooms are perfect. My only issues were our basement room (we agreed to it to shave the cost, but if I went again I would have upgraded to a view) and the tv is not foreign-friendly. They have an Apple TV you can hook up your account to, but I was not able to get mine past some regional permissions so I depended on...

"Great location. Quiet room. Everything new and modern. The only issue was that the A/C -Heating system blows directly on the beds. And we couldn’t lower the fan speed to #1 - the lowest it would go was #2. Not good. "

"Though it is a 2-star hotel, the room and amenities provided were excellent! They provided multi adaptor, face masks, hair straightener for the ladies etc and these were very well thought of. The location. Is just beside the beautiful Kamo River and between Gion and new Kyoto. Will stay here again in a heartbeat !"
