From the moment we stepped inside, we were immersed in the traditional Japanese experience. Removing our shoes at the entrance and walking on the warm tatami-style flooring throughout the hotel added such a calming and cultural touch. Every detail, from the minimalist décor to the soothing ambient music, created a sense of tranquility and respect for tradition. Our room was immaculate and tastefully appointed with Japanese design elements, including sliding doors, futon-style beds, and a beautiful wooden bath area. "Beautiful hotel. Super clean and beautify transitional Japanese decoration. Staff is nice and friendly. Only problem is that it’s not too close to San Jo and Si Jo which is city centre. But Kyoto is pretty small. One way taxi is about $15 AUD. "

Perfect stay

"The room was amazing! My girls loved the bunk beds and I loved the regular beds. Room size is huge, even by US standards- more like a suite with kitchenette. AC worked beautifully and blackout curtains were helpful for sleeping in a bit. Shower room is wonderful. Laundry facilities perfect! And little breakfast place next door was friendly and delicious! Would absolutely stay again!"
