"Liked our room which had ample space. The location is walkable to a lot of interesting places. The carpet could use a good vacuum especially on the edges. Other than that, all good. Staff were helpful and nice. Street is quiet and the lobby had a nice serene ambiance. I would stay here again."

"Family of 4 with 2 teenagers stayed 3 nights. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Hotel is in a good spot so close to subway only 3 stops from central Kyoto, Family Mart maybe 50 metres walk. Very short walk to Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. Room was nice but a bit tight for 4 people, we managed but you would need two rooms if staying for longer than 3 nights. "

"Biggest disappointment was the staff at the reception. We checked in December 28 ~8pm and during check in I have already requested for luggage transfer to Tokyo on January 2, for when we check out. She confirmed that it can be arranged and that we should talk about it closer to the date. Come December 31, we asked her again but this time she just dismissed us saying that luggage transfer services were already on long holiday. "Loved this hotel. The location is somewhat off the beaten path, but it was quiet, safe, well-appointed and central. Bus and taxi transportation is really easy in Kyoto, so not being as close to a train station wasn't a big deal. We had a very nice stay and would stay again."
