"Lovely clean hotel in a great location in Sendai. Exceptional service, comfy beds and great bath and shower. Only issue we had is I hadn't prearranged with the hotel that we had a car to park and wasnt aware there was an area down the side street to pull in and unload our luggage so we struggled with finding a park then getting all our luggage out and to the hotel and then couldn't park in the hotel parking as I hadnt prearranged it so we had to park the car 2 blocks away and pay $20AU a day for...

"Good value and location. Was clean and staff was kind and helpful. Room is very small so be aware as this it’s difficult for two people with more than carry on bags to open suitcases. Breakfast was impressive buffet of lots of options mostly Japanese but still a few western options. "

" Location - around 15 min walk to JR sendai station, all along flat road. There is a convenience store just 3 min walk from the hotel. Room- The staff is nice. The room is not big. It is just fit for one person. You have all the amenities inside. One big issue with the bathroom— I smelled something unpleasant from the bathroom. "

"This hotel was very easy to find and close to the transit system. Our check in was fast and easy, and the room was very well appointed. Excellent room and when we were a little too warm, front desk brought up a fan right away-would recommend the Monterey and would stay there again if we were in the area"
