"Having had a 3 hour drive down, we were greeted with a smile and two delightful rooms. Crisp linen and a smile. Food was fabulous (try the scotch eggs). Beer was good and the conversation was great. Will come back when visiting family. Fully booked for Sunday lunch so make sure you book if coming to stay. Judging by the 3 courses we had well worth booking"

"Check in process was confusing. We are family of 5, and when making the reservation, I had to book two rooms, one parent and some children in each room. This apparently resulted in two separate bookings as seen by the front desk, under different names. I had to show the receptionist the email confirmation and ultimately he was able to dig into what had happened and get us checked in. "Hospital and welcoming environment. Nicely arranged good decor and great to have the bar facilities. Breakfast was great, lots of choices One issue is the car park. We suffered damage to our car as there are large holes/puddles that are deep and no warning or cones over them "

"Very friendly, comfortable old country inn on the edge of a large village green. We enjoyed a good pub food dinner and hearty breakfast. A friendly welcome when we arrived and our room was very clean and comfortable with a TV, tea & coffee making, and nice toiletries in the bathroom. "
