"This hotel is a great refresh of an old hotel. So it’s old but refine very well. Rooms are serene, mood lighting is perfect, good outlets. Bed and pillows are Devine! Partial ocean view was a great room category. Staff was the best!"

"We enjoyed the property and the amenities….pool was nice, hot tub was good, and actually hot unlike many places, usually the front desk was very helpful, and other guests were even great…I was disappointed I paid for but did not really get an ocean view unless the wind blew and I stood on my tiptoes….thats not really an ocean view"

"Definitely will stay again. Love the spacious room. The full kitchen and the in-unit washer & dryer are awesome must-haves. Also, can't beat the free and easy parking (yay, no valet!). Front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and made great dining recommendations. Would love to see the property upgrade its flatscreen TVs to Smart TVs so I can stream movies and shows via apps like Netflix, Prime, etc. I made due with my iPad. "Big island retreat is located in a super quiet and beautiful area near the shore. Our guest room (orchid) was clean and spacious with a partial sea view, and our check in was very convenient. Two minor downsides: 1) there was no shampoo and bodywash in the room, but the onwer immediately brought a shampoo as we messaged her. 2) Utensils in the dining area were not very clean and there was still tea stains on the cups. "This place is a gem. It’s not too far from Kona Airport. We stayed in the Japanese tea room which is a very unique stay. It’s a very comfortable spacious room that has a very comfortable queen bed, nice t.v. With Amazon Prime, YouTube and other options for viewing entertainment, a BIG bathtub and a separate shower in the beautiful bathroom. The awesome part of this place though is Dave and his wife Miriam! They let you use basically all the amenities their property has to offer from the nice...

"Nice little place in very good location. 50 yard walk to water front Alii Street full of good restaurants. Very popular place. Would have been nice to have a table to eat at. I always found a place to park but parking is difficult. It is what it is. There was a $270+ fee added to my charge that I was not made aware of at time of booking. Otherwise it was a pretty inexpensive place to stay in an expensive destination"
