"The hotel exceeded our expectations particularly in terms of cuisine. The breakfast, the al a carte menu and the dinner buffets were excellent. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The views from the rooms & the restaurant were majestic. The roof top bar was a plus but the rainy weather interrupted our use of the facility. All in all a perfect two day stay and I highly recommend this boutique hotel for visitors to Kandy. "

"Taru Villas backs onto the railway, which is absolutely charming, watching the odd train come by while eating dinner on the terrace. The joy of the place is that it's an oasis in the middle of town - don't let reviews put you off that say it's noisy as when it comes to bedtime we did not hear a thing from our room with the ceiling fan on. "This hotel has spacious rooms and lovely windows to look over the city. What was absolutely outstanding was the customer service and genuine care from staff. We needed to extend our stay on our day of check out after being hospitalised in kandy. The staff organised everything and even waited until we were discharged from hospital at 1230AM to hand deliver us our room key and make sure we got in safe. "
