"We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"

"This was an amazing experience for my first onsen. Traditional but yet innovative. The check in and check out was easy, the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole stay wonderful. Always willing to accommodate. "

"Large space in Hakone and very reasonably priced. Good for large groups of fit, young people. Recommended parking is up a very steep hill and stairs to second floor are a little narrow and steep. The house was otherwise clean and comfortable."

"The ultimate form of r e l a x a t i o n Taking local trains to Hakone from Tokyo was relatively easy and well worth the trip for this incredible ryokan. The staff was unbelievable, the open air baths were delightful and peaceful, the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were both exquisite. I hope I get to come back some day!"

"You have to ride bus for 30 min from hakone-yumoto station but it’s soo worth it! This place is very stylish, clean and luxury. I stayed in the unit with the private bath. "This property surprised me as I’d been stuck in Hakone due to the typhoon so dediced to move to odawara station so I was closer to the action - and easier to leave the area when I could. I stayed for one night - it is a little confusing to get to the hotel, but follow the instructions to the letter and you will get there. "Ten-Yu was amazing. The property, staff, food, and town were all amazing. The hot spring water was invigorating and relaxing. The private onsen had a beautiful waterfall, the public garden was great. We didn’t try the bar, but did have dinner at the restaurant which was good, followed by a breakfast which had copious amounts of food for all tastes."
