"Very nice hotel, clean, great service, 4 indoors Onsens, outdoor swim pool, rest area, terrace, balcony! Seaview, saw 2 nights of firework shows out of 5 night I stayed.. Suzuki san & his team are wonderful!"
"Really nice hotel with friendly staff. Japanese style room with beautiful views of the mountains. Had 2 onsens and a foot bath, with lounge areas. Had breakfast and bought dinner nearby."
"It was a unique old building. Could use some updating. Food was expensive but not worth the price, not much else available nearby. Had to pay for beds or tables at the pool. "
"Staying at Numazu Club was magical. It truly felt like a hidden gem. The stuff was very welcoming and made every wish possible. My financé proposed to me on the last night in the private dining room in the old tea house. It will be a place that will forever stay in our hearts. Thank you Numazu Club team for making this stay so special. "
"As a frequent traveler, I’ve experienced countless hotels around the world — but Kiri No Kahori Sakura truly stands out as one of the most exceptional.
This hotel is a true gem for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the essence of traditional Japan. The rooms are beautifully designed in classic Japanese style, with great attention to detail and a calming, elegant atmosphere.
The hospitality here is outstanding. The staff are genuinely warm, attentive, and dedicated to providing impeccable...
"Older facility but very well maintained. Beautiful view from the room. Happy hours is a plus (drinks included, foot bath with a view, snacks). Recommended if you have a car to explore the Izu Peninsula during your stay as there is more limited options nearby the hotel (nearby town has more options for dining). "

"Modern, clean, and conveniently located close to the train station. This hotel strikes a good balance if you want something affordable but also professional and reliable. If you're coming for the beach, beware that you're either catching a bus or making a long, exhausting hike up a steep hill from the beach back to the hotel. Not easily walkable, especially in the hot Japanese summers! Staff was able to accommodate English."
"We absolutely loved our stay!! The room was beautiful, the onsens are incredible, the buffet breakfast was delicious and the service was fantastic! We stayed 2 nights, which I highly recommend to experience the hotel and Hakone properly. The only thing we didn’t love was the Kaiseki dinner - the food quality didn’t seem to be quite up to standard compared to everything else we ate at the hotel and seafood was already on the table when we arrived (it was even sitting out already for the next seating in 2 hours), which was a little off putting. "
"Beautiful, classically decorated interior spaces and my room looked at an area of forest covered mountain. Breakfast was lovely with a nice mix of Japanese and western selections (and a beautifully decorated cappuccino). Staff was incredibly friendly at check-in and check out. Room was clean and elegantly appointed. The bathroom was unbelievable Overhead rain shower and a soaking bath. Immaculate tiles. Main drawback is that the hotel is situated at the end of a fairly poor street in an urban area without any access to green space (the mountain behind the property is quite steep and without any walking area). "
"friendly helpful staff, luxurious onsen, comfortable beds in a spacious room, great location for exploring Hakone, games and toys for kids, lots of books in various languages for readers of all ages, delicious snacks and sweets, generous open-bar happy hour(s), and an excellent, excellent breakfast —I travel fairly often, and Hakone Yutowa really was one of the very best hotels that I’ve ever stayed in.
My only suggestion is that they might consider adding a fitness room. "
"Very wonderful stay, staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast and supper buffet had lots of variety. The onsite onsen was perfect for unwinding and the foot spa was a picturesque place for taking in the view. It’s location is a five min walk to the ferry and gondola station. "
"Beautiful historic hotel in the Hakone area with a great legacy. Excellent food and service, nice rooms and a beautiful interior and external grounds. One of the best hotels in Japan."
