"This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!! "Average hotel with a great access to a pool, steam room & sauna. Good bar with a good selection of drinks. Room was nice enough with a jacuzzi bath but the bed was too soft for me. Cobwebs in room, corridors & restaurant. Breakfast was ok but basic. It wasn’t expensive so fine for what we paid. It could do with a good clean and a lick of paint. "
