Eureka felt like a big city after driving up the coast through all the small towns. We were able to find dinner easily- my vegan and vegetarian daughters orders delivery from a Thai restaurant and my husband and I ordered and picked up MOD pizza.

Great things to do and see in the area. Lots of food choices. Old town is a fun walk, but at night still lots of homeless peeps/camps. Small drive from multiple points of interest. Weather is pleasing, if you like coastal sweater weather.

We loved visiting Eureka! It's a beautiful little town that seems to really care. We noticed how lovely the paint jobs are on most of the building and homes. It just make everything look so nice.

This was the first time in 55 years I came back to Eureka, and very little had changed. The railroad is gone, so train watching was out. The facility where the social function was held was built about a century ago and is absolutely stellar inside.

Eureka is absolutely beautiful. I love being here. We ended up staying an extra night here in Eureka instead of going up to somewhere in Oregon on the coast. We stayed here two nights on our five night honeymoon.

"We stay at the Bayshore everytime I come up to see my sister and it's always worth it. They have a quiet garden section with a hot tub or you can opt for the indoor/outdoor heated pool and hot tub in the main area. Breakfast is good, dining option next door just opened, a great BBQ place! The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable....some have fireplaces...it's always clean and so cozy. It's my favorite place to stay in Eureka, CA"
