"This was my third stay at Metropolitan East Sendai. Elegant, modern, and comfortable. Fair-size room, comfortable bed, luxury bath facility in the room. Directly connected to Sapporo's main station, which is a large shopping and eating mall, with highrise department stores and offices all around. My only complaint is the lack of towels - only one bath towel and one face towel, if you are staying by yourself. Adequate until one gets wet and you need a dry towel and have to call the front desk....

"A wonderful stay at a great hotel, at an extremely good price. Extra special thank you to Sato-san and Koike-san for their very kind help with some important paperwork! We're delighted to say they helped us get married in Tokyo a few days later, and wrote us a lovely note too (Thank you Sato-san. Come on your Spurs!) All of the staff were friendly and helpful. "Incredible high floor view of everything north of downtown Sendai, including the Sendai Dai Kannon statue. The room was very large, quiet, and felt very luxurious, including the great smelling bath salts. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. They greet you on the first floor and handle luggage, then direct you to the 25th floor lobby where check-in happens. "Hotel is a few minutes walk from subway station that is 2 stations from Sendai Station. It is walkable from endless shopping, restaurants, and bars. Sendai City Museum and Sendai Castle is a couple miles walk if you are ambitious enough. 7 11 is right around the corner. Hotel is smaller room of course. Larger lobby area. Has AC that can freeze you to ice in August. It is a nice no frills clean reasonably priced hotel. Be aware the chain has a couple of hotels in the area so use street address...

"The whole process, from communication before check-in to storing my luggage there after check-out, was very smooth. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious, signage was foreigner-friendly, and there was a great range of amenities and supplies provided. The bed and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. My only wish is for a lobby or public seating area for leisure aside from the hotel room, and perhaps a map and suggestions of things to do in Sendai."
