"A nice, clean and tidy hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The styling was classical and quite appealing. The hotel has free access to guests for the seperate men's and women's onsens. It also has a rather nice sitting room with a selection of books (in japanese) to read/flick through. The breakfast was a generous buffet with a large variety of hot and cold items from typical japanese fare to more usual western toast and and cereal. We would...

"The room is clean and staffs are friendly and helpful, but the room should have proper light fixtures in the corner of room, and small tables for extra luggages, otherwise this is very good value to stay while in Karuizawa."

"This hotel is close to the train station, about a 5-10 minute walk. Check in was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was about a 10 minute walk north from the hotel to get to an area with interesting restaurants and shops. I also like that you can book a room with a washing machine, although I didn't not do so myself. If I visit Matsumoto again, I would definitely look to stay here."

"I closed this hotel due to my last stay at APA Asakusa, Tokyo. The APA hotel and crew again made my trip very easy. From check-in to luggage service, the staff smiled sincerely and with very polite gestures. The room is very spacious given the superb location , I found all the amenities clean and up to date. 5 stars ? I would give it a 10. "

"Turned out to be perfect for an overnight stay. It was only 4 minutes walk from the train station and Izakayas. I had a wonderful view of the snow capped mountains in the morning. "

"Very convenient for the station. We arrived with a lot of luggage so was offered an upgrade to a larger room for £10 per night, which we took. Glad we did as room was still compact but did what we needed for two nights. We were able to send a couple of our bags onto the next hotel using Black Cat. The receptionist was very helpful in arranging this for us. "

Very pleasant stay.

"Very pleasant stay. Walking distance to everything. My only minor negative feedback would be the western breakfast. The eggs, bacon and sausages were all cold as they were not kept covered in the bain marie. "
