"My family and I recently returned from a weekend getaway to Lake Kawaguchi. The property was awesome. It’s very clean and Modern. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the comforts of home (cookware, utensils and appliances). There is a washing machine, smart tv with Netflix login, and A/C units in each main room. "Beautiful property, the host will wait for you to check-in even if you encounter delays on your journey up to Kawaguchiko. The cottages were extremely clean and cozy, with a small soaking tub right outside of the bathroom. There are a few walkable Onsen nearby open late and there is a phenomenal Oden restaurant nearby open till 11pm."

"Loved the stay at Kounso. The room was spacious and had extra bedding that could be used to fit your preference. I was not sure about the shared bath, but each room reserves time slots, so you do not bath with strangers. I loved the cypress bath, it was perfect after a long day. I chose not to use the room heater because of the kerosene smell. Instead, the kotatsu table kept me plenty warm for this time of year. "Booked the deluxe unit, seems like only deluxe unit have roof top balcony, which have the mount Fuji View. Many eateries and convenience store nearby. For Drivers, the villa provided free parking. Most of the shops around the area has free parking. The rooms are clean, the living hall is huge. "

"Ryosha Tsukiakari is a lovely place to stay near Mt Fuji. The inn is charming; it is a semi-traditional inn (tatami mat rooms with futons in a more modern building). I'm glad I stayed here. That said, there are some caveats (these are NOT meant to diminish a stay here): 1) Traditional: take your shoes off on entering the building and use slippers in the public areas. Once in your room, slippers are only for the toilet/lav areas; you must remove the slippers to walk on the tatami floors (understandable, but not what Western travelers would be used to). 2) There are a toilet and lav in the room (on the 2d floor) while bathing is in the communal bath (on the 1st floor); this is not for everyone. 3) Though a 'modern' building, the windows leak. I stayed in Winter and with the screens opened there was always a draft coming in from the windows (double-glazed). I assume in summer, the hot, humid air gets in, too. 4) The breakfast is interesting to a non-Japanese ... a half-sandwich with some fruit, etc. I enjoyed it once; but, passed on it for the rest of my stay. "

"We had such an amazing stay at this hotel, our stay was only two nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. Not only was the hotel clean, quiet, and easy to get to, but the view from our room was beyond amazing. The ammenities were so lovely, with a quiet onsen spa with views of Fuji, and easy access to a hiking trail that leads to a beautiful viewpoint up on the hills. If youre looking for a luxury hotel with once in a lifetime views of mt Fuji, this is the place for you. "

I would suggest to come here with your own transport. - Ease of Check-In (check-in info can be filled online prior to check in at the hotel) - Available of Public Bath (from 4pm to 9am) - Delicious Local Breakfast (ochazuke) - Free Private Parking - Free Wifi - Available of Entertainment such as Table Tennis (Me and my son had a fun time playing) - Only need to take note that there is No Lift to room level (we stay at level 2)"
