"Great location-nice to have the kitchenette- bedroom is real small- tiny walking area -to Gr in/out of bed. It’s a great location for French quarter activities and close to canal st also-for street car access. It is very noisy if your room is on street side-can’t be helped-its just old wwindows close to street lead to noise. Property has free laundry option-great to have but bring your own laundry soap-there’s none available onsite. We will try to stay here again next time we are in NOLA."

"Another great stay at Audubon Cottages in New Orleans. This time we stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage and loved every minute of it. Romantic and private with a soaking tub, great service and close to everything in French Quarter yet removed enough to be peaceful. Small scale and very unique historic property. My favorite place to stay in New Orleans. "

"The bnb was beautiful and comfortable. The view was amazing as well. The building had a weird smell, but once in the room it was gone. The parking garage connected to the building was smelly as described, but was safe with plenty of parking. So much so we never moved the car from the garage once we arrived. Overall our experience was excellent. "

"This was an amazingly pleasant, three-day stay. Our check in with Rainisha was fabulous; she is wonderful.During the evening, Dee came on and she was also fabulous. These are five-star staff. The location of Brakeman Hotel was super easy, off and on the I-10. "Beautiful hotel and room. Good location. It was chilly and rainy during our stay. It was difficult to keep our room warm. Housekeeping did not enter our room when the privacy sign was NOT displayed resulting in no service during our stay. Granted, my husband was not feeling well and spent a lot of time in the room. But, I do not think it unreasonable to hope that they come in while we are not in the room and the door tag is not out."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The apartment was beautiful and just a short walk to the Quarter. My only wish is that there was more affordable parking. However, had I known what a short walk it was to everything, I wouldn’t have rented a car. Just something to keep in mind, if driving. Overall, would highly recommend. Will be staying again on my next visit to this beautiful city!"

Wonderful, except rude receptionists last day

"Fabulous historic hotel with some truly wonderful and giving staff. From the “bellhops”, bar and restaurant staff to the concierge nothing was too much trouble for them. Balcony room looking over the pool quite small for two with luggage, but it is an old building. Only letdown were a couple of miserable receptionists on our last day. Rude, unhelpful and obviously did not want to be there. Everything seemed like a bother to these particular two, spent a lot of time on the phone and ignored everyone else when doing so, not even an acknowledgment you were there or a smile. Such a shame a simple thing like this can spoil a fabulous hotel in, what is for us, a once in a lifetime trip. "
