"What we liked is that this was a real neighborhood, not just a tourist area. It was an easy walk from the main train station connecting to Lisbon. the hotel itself is spanking brand new and the bed was big and comfortable. "The rooms are extremely outdated and certainly not 5-star. The room carpets were stained and dirty, sheets were ripped/had holes in them, and furniture/paint was chipped. I had two rooms booked in our reservation and we were treated very differently. We booked at the spa, one of us was sent to the actual spa (where there is aqua therapy), and the other was brought into the gym locker room. Heavy construction outside also makes for an unpleasant stay. "

Best for just a couple of nights- my stay was longer and I missed having a kitchenette or way to wash clothes- not the hotel’s fault- I should have considered those things when booking. But the staff is wonderful- obviously very well-trained; the on-site restaurant is really good- and it was a very comfortable room with a fantastic shower."
