"The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Everything was just renovated and it's looks great. There is construction across the street from the other hotel being built but it didn't impact us in any way. We spent most of our time at the boardwalk and this was the closest hotel. "

"Hotel felt very safe and well maintained. Both the hotel and the neighborhood were very quiet. There were several food options within walking distance. My room had a connecting door which let a lot of sound in, but the neighbors went to bed early so it wasn't a problem. I would perhaps request a room without a connecting door if possible. For the price, it was a great deal. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again."

" My room was slightly smaller than I imagined, but I've never stayed in an old Victorian, so I had nothing to compare it to. I loved the restoration work done. (Built in 1890). It's a beautiful hotel. Though not listed among amenities, I was very happy to find my room had a mini fridge and microwave. It also had a lovely fireplace, which came in handy, as Santa Cruz can get chilly in the evening. (It is January, after all.) Lilly was exceptionally helpful and attended to all details, both...

"The staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in when the room was ready. They had crackers, cheese, salami, fruit and wine daily in the afternoon and they served a nice breakfast. Also, the room had blackout curtains and a fan to circulate the air. It was warm outside the room and was told by another guest that upstairs was extremely warm. The location was perfect for walking to the beaches, wharf and boardwalk. "

"Everything at the babbling brook inn was amazing my only complaint is that the door that leads to the rooms was very hard to open. It was very hard to get the key in and out of the key hole."

"Good basic accommodations. Only two quibbles: overhead light was buzzing so I only used the lights next to the bed, and heater/AC was a bit on the noisy side, but not enough to interfere with sleep. But for the price, it was a good value. Recommended."

"The room was very nice and well maintained. Had a small issue with the TV but I think it was due to the previous stay. Check in was great and extra towels where provided as needed. The bathtub was very clean and met my expectations. Would recommend staying, I’ll definitely be back soon!"
