"This is a beautiful onsen with a friendly hard working staff. My only complaint is that there are no options for breakfast. We have stayed at several onsen in the past that offer traditional Japanese breakfast or western breakfast. I’m kind of picky about seafood, and I don’t like it for breakfast. My breakfast was mainly hoke, a whole (head to tail) grilled fish. "

"The room was spacious, with high ceilings and large windows. We stayed for one night, and it was comfortable. The dinner was just okay, but the breakfast was delicious. The only downside is that the men's and women's onsen baths didn't switch, unlike other onsen hotels I've stayed at. This hotel has a more Western style It's not a traditional onsen ryokan. But overall was a great experience! "

"The walk to the hotel from the Kusatsu bus station is not a mere 8-10mins or so, esp with luggage in tow and that it’s a bit steep to get to this hotel. Definitely not for older folks!! Didnt like that we also couldnt prearrange for taxi service ahead of time on our way back to Tokyo as we did not want to catch the bus again.
