HOTEL ROUTE INN Grand NAKANO OBUSE - Shinshu-Nakanoekimae -

3.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (42)
"Stayed three nights to ski the nearby resorts. Easy, and free, parking right in front of the hotel. The building itself seems new. Check in was quick. Very friendly lady at the counter. Nice onsen on the first floor. Very nice breakfast. Unfortunately, the bed was very hard, uncomfortably hard, and there didn't seem to be many restaurants around the hotel. So I ate one night in the hotel's restaurant. While the food was good, ordering it was difficult. The restaurant uses a QR code system, so...

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nagano Zenkojiguchi

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (1000)
"We only stayed here for one night. The location was super convenient. We didn't use the amenities much and didn't have breakfast at the hotel either. The room was super small. We managed as we had only a carry-on with us. Tall people or people with luggage might've found the room inadequate. Staff was very helpful, check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. Nothing to complain about! "

Dormy Inn Nagano Zenkounoyu Natural Hot Spring

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (553)
"This was my first stay at a Dormy Inn, and I will certainly consider them again if there's one where I'm staying in Japan. The twin room was very spacious for the price. The onsen/bath on-site was always clean, though be conscious of the posted "busy times". Complimentary ice cream or yogurt was a nice plus. Staff at the desk were very helpful and were willing to use translate apps to navigate language barriers. Location is very close to Nagano Station and a convenience store. "

Ishinoyu Lodge

2.5 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (3)
"What a delightful place to stay! Cannot praise the staff enough! They were all so helpful, friendly and accomodating. Some English speaking staff, who were honestly the best we met in our two week stay in Japan. We were told that they don’t get many English-speaking visitors and we were the only ones there, which my teen son and I loved. We love immersing in the Japanese experience when visiting, and this hotel definitely offered this. The rooms were simple but clean and tidy and well...

Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel

3.0 star property

"Spent 4 nights and was very satisfied with my stay. The breakfast and dinners were buffet style in a large cafeteria, with a very nice selection of different options each day. The semi-enclosed hot bath (gender segregated) was nice, though the view is restricted only to the very top of the tree line. The ski rental shop staff were very friendly and helpful, and the the facilities were nice. The ramen restaurant was great! Apart from the bath, there was really nothing to do, since the hotel is...
