"We were welcomed warmly by the front desk staff. This is a nice hotel right beside the high speed train close to ski hills. It has everything you need including an Onsen (if that is your thing). Rooms were clean and quiet"

"This Route Inn location is a bit older than some of their other locations, however it still has some good amenities like a public bath and in-building coin laundry (a must for hot Japan summers!). Room was small but clean, overall a good experience. I thought the included breakfast was every day, however I only received 1 meal coupon for my 2 day stay, which was surprising. Not really expensive, but didn't purchase a 2nd day and just got a bento on the train instead."

"This beautiful resort would’ve gotten the 5 stars it deserved had it not been for the Vietnamese restaurant in the pas through that I reserved a table at. I was ignored while others were seated and orders taken and weee eating before I was acknowledged. Had it not been for that place experience this place was easy 5/5. "

"Hotel Hanabun was a great ryokan experience! It is nestled in the mountains offering a peaceful getaway from touristy/crowded areas. It had the best onsen water, even the locals went there to bathe! The hosts and staff are all friendly and accommodating to your needs. Google translate was necessary to communicate, but everyone is very patient. The food was incredibly delicious, and they use locally sourced, fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy ryokan. "

"Only the couple managing the property, doing all rooms and check in and dining. So be patient. Even they might not know much English they still provide great service and try to accommodate your needs. Nice restaurants and convenient store around though most close early. Walking distance to the Akakura Obsen Ski area."

"John and the team at The Address delivered a wonderful stay our family. The rooms, onsen’s and dry rooms are clean and well kept. Service was wonderful and always there to assist at anytime. Wonderful location and big spacious Japanese rooms"

"I didn’t go to Myoko to sit in a hotel room, so this place was perfect. Comfy beds in a small room. Very dorm room style. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great. I had a burger one night that was amazing. Great onsen too. I liked it but don’t think your getting luxury.. "

"Service : best customer service from all staff. Impeccable. Room and facilities: new and nicely maintained. Rhe suite i took was spacious with 2 bathrooms. A rare find for a ski in ski out hotel on the slope. Wifi in room works well Food: decent food in hotel restaurant, much better than what neighbouring hotels. There are not a lot of food options nearby. Parking: available at open space opp ski info center. Have to inform hotel to send a snow shuttle to car park to fetch our luggage as the it is a short walk , but not easy with many luggages. However, The hotel staff provide best customer service to assist. Overall, 5 star rating for sure. Thank you everyone at T hotel ryuoo."

"The rooms had a classic "Showa era" style, which gave them a great atmosphere, and were quite spacious for two people. The onsen was on the small side but clean and nice, with a pretty outdoor area. There was a lounge area with free drinks, nuts, and dried fruit. It was a decent value. I'd stay there again."

"We were picked up from the train and immediately got a ride to the monkey park, a major reason for our visit. The hotel then sent a shuttle to pick us up and return us to the hotel where our luggage had already been taken to the room. This was a more traditional place with shoe removal and slippers provided. Dinner was incredible despite my not loving a few of the items in the set course menu. Breakfast was equally fulfilling. We did not take advantage of the public onsens due to our short visit but did use the private onsen in site. At the end of the stay we were driven back to the train station for our departure and given a small token of candies. An excellent stay!"
