"I wish I could give more than 5 starts in every category. Yuki, Yukiko, and David were all incredible. I booked this thinking it would be a nice hotel/ryokan and left with tears of joy, warmth, and happiness. The team here was so hospitable that this is also an understatement. "Had a terrific relaxing couple nights. The best beds we've yet had to sleep on. Bedding was super comfortable as well. The included breakfast was great. Western style. Lake around the property is nice to walk, has several good food options. The 7-11 is an easy 10 min walk to get drinks and snacks. And the fellow at the resort gave us a quick lift to the train station for the next leg of our journey. Really enjoyed our stay. "

"First off the reception has a strong stench of cigarette smoke. On check out the hotel demanded extra money than what was listed on the book page. They listed ¥150 per person per night which was fine however they wanted another ¥350 per person for heating cost!?!? Which was never listed during booking. The purpose of having hotel booking platforms are to list everything down so there are no surprises!"

"Nice location next to the arcade. You can definitely walk to zenkoji from here. Nice walk up the main road to the temple. Best thing is you also get the benifit of the shop in the arcade walk. Restaurant inside was nice. Hotel at first glance looks good. It inside the rooms look dated and carpets need to be replaced! The showers and amenities are very nice. It’s not old school but if you want modern this is a good alternative. I would stay here again. "

"Generally very positive. Easy check-in and check-out with helpful staff (not a lot of English, but enough). Bathroom was great, good pressure and heat and the bath-tub was well-big enough for a 6ft man to bathe in (albeit taking a good while to fill up.) The main caveat during our stay was that the hotel only has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, which made for a long, tricky and frustrating evening as the hotel is reasonably large."

"Locality to train station cannot be beat- don’t even need to go outside if cold. Restaurants of all sors nearby. Like all hotels in Japan, it was clean. The rooms are a little dated and carpet could use a change. Staff were very friendly. Cost of laundry service was outrageous (think, Boston 5-star prices), and I believe I was over-charged but that was too difficult to covey with my extremely limited Japanese (my problem, that theirs.. it is Japan after all), so I paid if the “extra” $30 USD....
