"We came to celebrate our honeymoon, the location of the hotel is not in the central area of ​​Phi Phi, a magical place with a beach and an amazing view. "This resort is located on a quiet strip of beach with just a few other properties away from the busy, smelly town which we didn't like at all! The beach is gorgeous; two small pools, nice restaurant on the beach and a little cafe next to it that has yummy food (but not part of the property). The rooms are comfortable though dated as others have shared. Beds are hard but AC worked great. The big deck with incredible view is worth it! Walking up and down steep path to beach/restaurant is a pain...

"The villa with its own pool access was exceptional. The staff and the service were attentive, very effective and allowed for an excellent experience in the hotel and on the island. The "house music" was appeciated and enjoyable. If you want an "in town" experience only minutes from the hub of the centre this is the hotel to stay. "We stayed 3 nights at Pimalai and booked 3 nights here but checked out a day early due to weather and boredom. There’s nothing particularly wrong with this resort; the beach is nice, the breakfast is extensive, the villa is quite nice, the staff are reasonably friendly (the pool staff in particular were great). However, if you’re going to Koh Lanta, Pimalai was a step up in just about every way so it’s hard to advise staying at Layana unless you prefer the more lively location. "

"A beautiful resort and staff so so helpful and always smiley! Rooms were so well kept and really clean. Aircon works very well! Pool area kept very clean and different areas to sit at to have a drink. Beach access for early morning or early evening walks. Food and drinks good, only comment would be cooked breakfast got cold quickly if you didn’t get there at breakfast opening time. Beautiful sea views and an amazing sunset from Reggae Bar! "
