"The traditional Japanese hotel is so spacious that it surprises us the minute we walked in. It has a full living area, a bedroom and a long patio that provides excellent view to the back yard. It has a private indoor hot spring tub and a private outdoor onsen. The back yard lead to hotel garden area which has all kinds of beautiful flowers and plan. Mountain is just next to the backyard. The ambience was excellent. A simple traditional Japanese breakfast was provided for free a request."
"The facilities are OK, but we felt it was too expensive for the cost of lodging without breakfast. We also felt that the staffs were not kind and friendly compared with the other Japanese inns or hotels we used. In addition, thee places for dinner or breakfast were scares near the hotel. "
"Hotel location was excellent regarding the beach. Probably 50 feet to sand from their front door. Room view was probably the best I have ever seen! Staff was very attentive to us. Food was excellent. "
"The owner is very nice. same as the staff. very comfortable Japanese style hotel. Location is the best. walkable To Izu-kogen station and convenient stores."
"We absolutely loved Mizumari. Taiyo and his staff went above and beyond for us, and all of Mizumari was beautiful. It was our favorite stay in Japan!"
"Mixed feelings on this guest house - it was lovely decorated and recently renovated by the owner, who was lovely and super friendly & helpful. Had offered affordable breakfast (500 yen/ person in May 2025) and plenty of shared area spaces - with ability to use glasses / cups / kettle / microwave. "Lovely staff, good breakfast. Pool wasn’t open the beginning of July as we hoped but we could still enjoy the pool deck and the beach and ocean were close by and refreshing to swim in."
"The inn was in a quiet neighborhood.
The owner was very talkative and friendly. He was reachable over WhatsApp/LINE/Telegram/WeChat, and offered free pick up and drop off options at Izu Kōgen (伊豆高原) station and a few tourist spots. The stay was quiet and peaceful and I greatly enjoyed it.
Thank you for a wonderful hosting!"
