"This hotel is a wonderful place, I was there around 8:00 on the 14th of November and The Man Behind The Desk was exceptional! He went above and beyond to get me the room that I was asking for. I did not get the gentleman's name but this hotel needs more people just like him. The River Hotel on Wacker is lucky to have him. Whoever you are thanks again for your kindness and your professionalism! Keep up the wonderful work and I will definitely be recommending this location to all my friends"

"I did really enjoy my stay at the congress hotel overall, 1.st I’m going to say I love the history behind the building and the architecture. It kinda looks like the Stanley hotel on a budget while you’re walking to your room which I’m not complaining I did love the experience. 2. If you’re going here to just get creeped out please take the stairs and not the elevator, there’s a portal in the elevator (lined with mirrors) but their stair are immediately just terrifying and ominous to look at so...

"Everything was great except for the check-in process. There were 2 check-in clerks and it took forever, like more than 10 minutes to get both parties checked in."

"Beautiful property, friendly staff. The one thing I didn't like was the parking. Hotel has no parking and offers valet parking for $73 per night. That can add up if you're there for a week. "

"We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were kind and the rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is a little bit out of the way, in a more residential area, so it was quieter when were there earlier in November. The hotel is a unique building and has a lot of character with all of it's Cub's memorabilia. It is about a 15 minute walk to the red line. There are many bars and restaurant options not far that you could walk to. We didn't have a car, so we did not use the parking option. We would definitely stay again."
