"This was one of the highlights of our trip. The property was beautiful, and the rooms were amazing. I recommend doing half board and experiencing the provided dinner and breakfast. The location can be tricky if you plan on walking from Atami station, as it would take approximately 35 minutes and was mostly uphill. My regret was only booking to stay one night at this location."

"The view was amazing. Onsen was amazing. Wake up to view of Mt Fuji almost every other day, when it is not cloudy. 7eleven and Lawson is just a walk away. Bus stop is right next door. Only downside is the cleaning service was not provided on daily basis. Maybe we need to call them but we didnt bother to. Perfect stay, view and location. "

"One of the most beautiful, peaceful, serene hotels we have ever stayed at! Located in area with lots of trees. Private onsen is simply amazing. The Japanese breakfast was the best we have ever had. Highly recommend!"

"Cous Cous is a gem and I feel lucky I found it. It is located in the woods uphill from a non-touristy workaday fishing town. "The hotel is up a steep sloping street and in a quiet area. It has a traditional feel and the cafe is really nice and the hot springs, however there is no view, unless you pay for the private baths upstairs. The whole place could use a bit of a facelift, but more of an issue was the lack of service and the quality of the food, particularly dinner. "Disappointing. We arrived late at night, and no one was at the reception. Despite trying to call, we received no answer. After waiting 20 minutes, the concierge finally appeared but didn't bother checking our travel documents. The physical key provided was difficult to use, and the lack of English or French speakers made it impossible to seek information. We felt lost and decided to check out early. It was NOT a pleasant experience, definitely NOT. 😔"

"Hotel was very nice however if your an American or western at all I wouldn’t stay here, none of the rooms had showers and we had many traditional ryokans on our visit to Japan that did, also all night were sirens for the Tsunami right outside our window. Restaurant was pretty decent but overall compared to the price and the dirtiest city we found in Japan it’s definitely a no way ever again in our books, that’s from a very well traveled outlook. "

"Grand old place in need of a big clean, but absolutely phenomenal experience. The staff were fantastic; friendly and helpful. The dining room and food stations were unbelievable. A pianist was playing during dinner. It was amazing. Nice hot Onsen too. One was outside overlooking the ocean. Very special. I loved that I could have the window open. The room was so spacious and the view was incredible."

Great hotel!

"This is the perfect kind of hotel where you stay when you want something convenient, without flashy things. The feee breakfast was insanely delicious and copious (6:30 till 9ish), the staff super nice and helpful and the room spacious. Everything you might find in your room is in the lobby (tea, coffee, ice, microwave...) One thing to note, if you are a light sleeper, the train tracks are a block away and you can hear the trains. It's not invasive, but some people would be affected. I can only recommend this place 😊"
