"My wife and I booked this with “ open eyes” and it worked brilliantly. Good transport to central London via DLR or Elizabeth line. Good value. Spotlessly clean and highly professional staff. Although no TVs in the room and the “ cabins” are smaller than many hotels, this worked so so well for us. Many thanks "

"Fantastic stay and service. The family room we booked wasnt available but we were given 2 rooms for the same price and free breakfast and cocktails to make up for this...over and above. The bed was exceptionally comfy. The staff were wonderful.Perfect for an overnight stay after a concert at the 02. Would definitely go back."

"The accommodation was in a perfect location for London Excel with excellent public transportation getting there. My room was comfortable and quiet. The only 2 main problems were in the bathroom. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain which was a bit gross. The shower head was impossible to tilt down therefore the water shot out horizontally, this was awkward."

"For budget London accommodation I was impressed with the Forest Gate Hotel. Pros: quiet location, easy walking distance to the tube (Olympic park 2stops away), affordable (for London prices), clean sheets, comfy bed, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee in room. Fire doors and a solid door lock. Shared toilet and showers but they are clean enough, a decent size and will good locks on the door. Staff are friendly and breakfast was simple but a bonus the next day, and was cooked fresh. Cons: it's an old building and it isn't freshly painted and high spec. If you're looking for luxury, you'll have to pay the cost. But it doesn't detract from this being a solid option for somewhere to sleep well for a couple of nights. I'd recommend it here and I'd stay again."
