"Warm and helpful welcome. Attic room is up three flights of stairs, no lift. Location is easy to find, close by a good retail park and ten minutes walk to the seafront. Room was very small with a small chair, but the bed was comfortable with nice bedding and everything was spotlessly clean. Windows opened fully which was nice, there was a fan provided but no air conditioning. After a good nights sleep shower was good with shampoo and conditioner provided. Yes coffee and kettle also on...

"Quirky hotel with some original features but overpriced for level of finish in room. Good food well presented but waiting time and co-ordination of service appalling. Waiting staff did not engage with customers and no one person taking overall responsibility for front of house. Judging by the guests staying I’m guessing there is a lot of one-off visitors who will never return and this is reflected in the level of customer care- Shame"

"Managed to check in early as I had a party to attend. I had a goid nights sleep. Breakfast was really good. The owner remembered my name and used it throughout the stay which was a nice personal touch."

Nevertheless staff incredibly helpful, even though had to wait outside for ten minutes while staff arrived to open up during advertised booking in times. Right opposite station and a quick drive to the port. No breakfast on offer."
