Very central. Howere the water in room 127 was very very hot. Couldn't shower as Couldn't mix the water. We did mention this on departure. As i have a knee probelm i Couldn't bathe as no had grip in the bath

Room was agreeable with everything you would expect from a night in a hotel. Excellent location and was quiet. What let this stay down was the breakfast, which I paid to have included in my stay. Disappointed that the orange juice was more like cheap cartoon orange, which tasted watery and more like squash and not fresh orange juice, and at £3 a glass, I’d expect a little bit more. Also my pot of tea contained a long thick black hair (I’m white blonde,) which didn’t come out of the pot until my last pour. As you can imagine, this made me feel quite unpleasant. I pointed it out to the waitress who apologised but didn’t take it away or even offer to replenish my pot of tea. A separate waitress, as I left the restaurant recommended to mentioned it to reception upon checkout, which I did. I only got an apology and the receptionist advising she would be speaking to the kitchen staff as it’s their job to clean the dishes. Most high end hotels would at least offer to reimburse the breakfast or provide a discount on another stay. The receptionist just walked off. I’m not one to usually complain but felt this experience really dampened my impression of the overall stay, which is a great shame.

We enjoyed our stay at Abode with the bed being extremely comfortable and the shower delightful. We also really enjoyed a number of cocktails in the bar downstairs!

Hotel in dire need of maintenance. No cold water coming out of sink tap, thermostat gone on shower, massive noise problems until 11.00pm each night.

The hotel is right in the high street but in our room noise was non existent even with the internal noise of people moving about the hotel. The arrival was welcoming and the staff were extremely helpful. The room was clean and ready for us on arrival, we had a minor problem with a lamp not working but that was resolved very quickly. I will warn people that the parking is only about 10-12 cars so is very restrictive. We arrived on the Sunday afternoon and space was available but on departure mid week the car park was full so you may need to be ready to park away from the hotel. The location of the hotel is great for getting about Canterbury with many of the sites within a only a few minutes walk and shopping and food options are a plenty. We will look to try and stay here again on our next trip to Canterbury.

Fabulous night sleep, the most comfy of all beds, lovely breakfast and great service. Only gave 4 stars as parking is limited and car parks locally are more expensive when parking for 3 days!

Abode is a lovely place to stay. We have stayed at abode many times. There must be quite a high turnover of staff because noone recognises us to say welcome back. The city centre location is very convenient. The staff are friendly.

Good location. Room however was looking tired, particularly in the bathroom. Terrible service over breakfast, very clear cut backs are being made and sadly we encountered a very rude member of staff with a very poor attitude which was also commented on by the table next to us

Hotel staff didn’t great us on entry, just stood there doing some work, the room was okay, not high quality, but clean, but we had a room next a street that had a pub with outside drinkers which were very noisy until early hours and a generator that came on and off! Not what we expected.

Good size room and clean. Nice complementary bathroom products. Only thing I would say that lets the room/bathroom down is the poor lighting for applying makeup. Friendly helpful staff and breakfasts was very nice. Great location for theatre and some lovely restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

The property was lovely as is csnterbury it self, clise yo everything, comfortable bed...i would say the only thing thst let ut down was the parking...car park was full when we arrived, so parked in council carpark and it cost £30 for under 24 hrs

All the staff were friendly, the bedroom was pretty spacious and clean. Only area that let the hotel down a little was the bathroom. It was clean but the plumbing for the hand basin was noisy and the shower, over the bath, was clearly quite old and not very efficient, taking a long time to warm up and then only to a fairly tepid temperature. We never ate there so can't comment on the quality of the food but there was a nice bar. It is right on the middle of the High Street but we didn't notice any noise and all the main shops, restaurants, bars and sites are probably within a 10 minute walk
