"Very comfortable hotel which has been newly renovated. Nice views of the sea. Good food and service and pleasant staff. Had a balcony but it was so windy and cold that we didn't use it. "

"The Lodge is situated on the edge of the canyon with spectacular views. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with a nice big shower, however, the shower head fixture had been fixed with a finger plaster and was shooting water out in all directions. The food is ok, not great, and I would have expected a higher quality at a lodge in this price range."

"Very nice hotel overall. The rooms we had were a bit worn but still quite nice. The public areas were also very nice and in good repair. But where The Strand shined is the staff. Everyone from drive-up to drive away was so very nice. A special shout out to Zena, Thank You for everything. Overall we had a delightful stay and will stay again when we are back in Swakopmund."

"Moom Mountain is a very unique set of tented rooms perched on a hillside with a fabulous view of mountains and desert. The staff went out of their way to solve more than one problem for me."

"Fabulous place. Run on solar power. Great room and balcony/outside space. Staff are all very helpful. Special shout out to Steph for helping us book activities before we arrived. Dinner at the Eagles Nest is a must. Views are worth the climb! "

"Lovely location. Spacious rooms spread out overlooking Etosha. Food ok, buffet expensive for dinner especially when they rundown the options towards the end of the sitting. We had to ask them to make more of a chicken dish as we don’t eat red meat. Staff on the whole very good, although the lunch time crew seemed disinterested when we arrived at 2pm. Breakfast much better. Rooms could do with a refresh. "
