"my husband and i stayed at naankuse lodge for 3 nights at the tail end of our trip that spanned south africa, botswana, zambia and zimbabwe. we wanted a couple days to just relax after a 3 week group safari tour that was constantly on the go. we are glad we came to naankuse as it was a slower pace, allowing us to sleep in, do 2 excursions a day, and walk the property at our leisure without being on a true schedule. it also allowed us to just sit on the porch and relax, talk, taking in nature. we...

"Namib Desert Lodge was such a lovely place to stay. The rooms and lodge were comfortable and well-kept; the food in the restaurant was great; the service was wonderful. They offered great excursions for guests who were interested in this. "

"Lovely location. Spacious rooms spread out overlooking Etosha. Food ok, buffet expensive for dinner especially when they rundown the options towards the end of the sitting. We had to ask them to make more of a chicken dish as we don’t eat red meat. Staff on the whole very good, although the lunch time crew seemed disinterested when we arrived at 2pm. Breakfast much better. Rooms could do with a refresh. "

"We hadn't originally intended staying in Solitaire, but rescheduling issues meant we slotted this lodge in at the last minute. I hadn't been optimistic about what we'd find - after all, Solitaire is a small, very remote place. But I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the rooms comfortable, a good size and in excellent condition; the restaurant area is terrific and the food very good; the surroundings are quite charming, with a scattered collection of old cars....

"We loved our stay. The location is amazing and so is the service. We really enjoyed the Game Drive, it's a must (we took the combo tour and we loved it). Service was great and food was really good. Dinner was at a very high level. For me, being Vegan, they had a lot to offer which is not common in Namibia. I would highly recommend it. "

"We experienced both the camp (one night) and the lodge (two nights). Compared to its newer, quieter and the more expensive neighbor, the camp was more lively and fun. We liked the staff at the camp better. The good looking front desk girl and the young maintenance guy helped us big time by making us a special power outlet adapter without which I would not be able to use our camera and phones. A big thank you! "
