"This is a great location on the island. The staff was very polite and helpful with everything. The rooftop bar had great views and good drinks. We couldn’t go in the ocean on the property cuz of the waves, but north beach is just a short couple minute walk away. Plus, it was nice to lay on our beach since it was very private. We usually don’t go in the water much so it didn’t bother us. We most likely would go to the same hotel again next time we are on the island. "

"This hotel is right on Playa Norte which was a beautiful beach with calm waters. Easy walk to the ferry terminal as well as a lot of wonderful restaurants. We came in late January and the vibe was very quiet. The one bedroom suite was spacious with a kitchenette and balcony. And the staff at this hotel was incredibly helpful and responsive to any need!"

"It's a really nice little hotel. The rooms are compact but clean. No elevators so try to stay on the lower floors. During the rain, it can be a little slippery. No exhaust fans in the bathrooms so you have to keep a very tiny window open most of the time (which is mostly fine). You cannot use toilet paper and flush it down. You have to throw it in a very small garbage can which is too small. Location is excellent. The street is full of dining and shopping options that stay on and lit up...

"This was my 1st time at Isla and was solo. I stayed at 4 locations, around the island to explore as much as possible. For location to the main downtown, restaurants, shopping, playa central public beach, this place is by the best. It was tidy, hot water, tv, wifi, mini fridge, all functioned perfectly the whole stay. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I felt very safe there. The pool area was very nice and great view. Sitting on my personal balcony watching the sunrise is so wonderful too....

"Basic rooms with everything you need including a mini kitchen, pretty big fridge, plates, one pot one pan! Even a blender!!!! Was nice to not have to eat out all the time! The upstairs deck is amazing!!!!! 360o view!! It was pretty quiet considering the location close to everything.. super nice folks running it and decent price! Totally recommend! "

"This place is beautiful, quiet and has my kind of vibe. If you're looking for a larger resort/condo accommodation you won't like Na Balam. It's more laid back here. They have ten rooms with balconies facing a small pool and hot tub, a good sized shower with a mini fridge, yoga three times a day, and beach access across the street at Playa Norte. The restaurant was a bit pricey but fantastic. The staff is lovely and I was really pleased with our stay."
