"Izla is amazing. We will be returning. We stayed with our children and it was safe, clean, and gorgeous. The pool is excellent and the beach access is a dream. I much prefer the south end of the island. A bit removed from the hustle of the north end, quiet and peaceful but only a 15 min cart of ride into the busier area. stay here. Get a cart. You won’t regret it. "

"It was me and my partners first time coming to Isla Mujeres, and we had a great time staying at Ixchel. I really wanted to be at a hotel right on the beach and that's what we got. We spent 3 days lounging in the beach chairs and wading in the ocean. The hotel's restaurant comes to wait on you so we were able to have drinks and lunch without leaving. Prices at the restaurant are like typical US prices. The room we had was nice and clean. We appreciated the large shower with the drying line in it. Through our window we could see the beach and hear the waves. The AC was nice and cold, which felt great coming in from all the heat and humidity. The staff were very kind and helpful. They helped up book a taxi when we wanted to go down to Punta Sur for sunrise. Location can't be beat. The hotel is right at the end of Hidalgo, the main street with shops and restaurants. Very easy to find walking from the ferry and easy to go try out other restaurants in the area."

"The place is beautiful and quiet, nice staff and clean, unfortunately only one restaurant really good cause is not much to choose from , Italian restaurant excellent service and quality food. Manager on charge not helpful and need to learn how to improve himself to give the best possible results for guests. ( he wasn’t helpful at all ) and to mention the head butler was so nice and helpful and really on top of making sure everyone was happy and enjoying their time in the hotel , our 2 butler was very professional and super helpful, coffee staff super nice and always with a smile, cleaning staff fantastic the hotel always nice and top clean, waitress in beach area , super friendly and fantastic service "

"The beach was beautiful and the favourite part of our trip! Even though the sandy area was small there was always enough loungers and the staff were willing to grab more if needed and would put up an umbrella if you wanted one. Many areas to snorkel and see fish. Staff would bring food and drinks to you while on the beach. The food was good and if you didn’t like any of the options you could get something made on the grill. Breakfast was the best. We loved the staff, most were super friendly and went above and beyond! We especially loved Kimberly, Eduardo, and Nicholas! My biggest complaint would be that they had a lot of bikes but only a few of them worked and that there were a few areas of the resort under construction while we were there ie. one restaurant and a bridge recently destroyed by a hurricane. Secondly I’m happy to say they weren’t overly pushy but still pushy enough to to try to get you into their VIP rewards program right after checking in. We just wanted to go to our room and not listen to someone convince us of their VIP membership (for almost an hour.) We ended up being super firm and they didn’t bother us for the rest of our time there. "
