"It was a great experience. Thoroughly enjoyable. Location, facilities, proximity to Aviemore town centre. Chalet is a bit tired looking internally. It was clean but someone needs to look up and remove cobwebs and dust on light fittings etc. Kitchen really well stocked."

"Stayed here for 3 nights just me and my dog. Check in was fast and easy then didnt really see any staff fpr the rest of the trip. Was nice just left to myself. Room was a bit noisy on my last night with people slamming doors but thats it. Comfy, simple, warm. Would definitely recommend if youre looking for something nice and basic"

"We enjoyed our three day break at Nethybridge very much in this fine old hotel. Even though it’s looking a bit tired in places, it makes up for any shortcomings with bags of character and first class, friendly and professional staff. The room and bathroom were really spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and is delicious. "We have stayed at the Craiglynne several times, for us as an outdoorsy family it is an ideal blend of value, comfort and location. "Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. "Ken and Gill are the perfect hosts! Cook to order breakfast, amazing coffee, and pastries. We were heading to Skye after our stay and Ken gave us a route that we thoroughly enjoyed! Coos on the side of the road, waterfall hikes, and a trip around Loch Ness were included in his advice. Do not hesitate to stay at this amazing property. "

"The peace & quiet here was amazing! Other guests were respectful & the only noise in the morning was the ducks looking for food. Our lodge was dated but comfortable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay. So in summary the accommodation is not luxurious but the location & setting are wonderful if it’s a quiet break you are looking for.
