"The main building is a beautiful old country house. The food is lovely with a very relaxing atmosphere. The Clarsach being played near the roaring wood fire was really special. Having your own island to explore is a bonus!"

"Set in a lovely peaceful / tranquil setting overlooking Loch Leven and amazing views looking up into Glen Coe. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking and a few points for EV’s. Breakfast was a buffet style with was lovely. The dinner menu was outstanding - throughly recommend the haunch of venison in a blackcurrant sauce. Room very spacious with tv, tea/coffee facilities. "

"Really lovely hotel with warm, welcoming staff who were keen to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. Ideally located for both supermarket and walks by the river. Special mention for the excellent breakfast (inc vegan options on request). "

"The jacuzzi tub was lovely! Just what I needed after a long drive. Room was very spacious and the bed was cozy/comfortable. Room service was convenient, albeit a limited menu. "

"Loads better on the inside than the out, lovely hotel, bay facing room would’ve been nicer, but great location right next to train station and ferry terminal. Breakfast great, staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable and bathroom very nice. "

"This is overall a very nice hotel, and the room was very comfortable. My gripe is with the wi-fi. It’s hopeless. Disconnects and reconnects constantly, and is incredibly slow. I don’t actually understand how they can make it this bad. You’d have to start with a dial-up modem, but at least that might have a stable connection. "

"Fantastic stay. Didn’t like the flat sinks in toilets as the water splashed out. Great tea provided in the room. Heater was very warm for the winter weather. Lovely toiletries. "

"Picked this hotel on a whim, and turned out to be the nicest part of our trip in the Highlands and Islands. A beautiful building with lovely period decor, however still kept up to date where our en-suite had a fabulous wet room with bath. On top of the fabulous building and location the food was excellent, and the bar was well stocked. Finally. The staff. Perfect friendly, helpful and welcoming. Every single person we interacted with mate is feel welcome and at home."

"We stayed at Pine Trees Hotel for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we walked through the doors the extra thought they have put into the details were evident; from the dog bowls and treats for four legged friends to rain coats and Hunter wellies for the humans to borrow. Having had a recent revamp, the interior design is contemporary chique in deep warm colours without taking the attention away from the original Victorian features. "We stayed in a suite, it was a very good size, the bed was comfortable, nice TV and very good small kitchen. The emergency exit light in the bedroom was very bright. The water pressure and the heating in the shower was below average. We stayed for 2 days, the cleaning staff tidied up the bedroom and bathroom, but failed to attend to the kitchen sink/dishes. We did not do the breakfast but I believe its available."
