"The check-in was smooth, however we found the bell boy a bit rude. Hotel is nice, it looks new however some of the finishes were not top notch for the price you were paying. The exhaust in the bathroom kept turning on and off, and it sounded like a car was revving, so we kept it off. Since we just staying a night we didn't bring it up with the staff. "The hotel is perfectly placed to walk to the temple, lake and market. A 20 min walk of brief tuk tuk ride from the station. Reasonably comfortable bed with a private en-suite. The only issue was that one wall of the room is a floor to ceiling window that looks onto the hallway and lets in light from the hall until it is switched off around 11pm. So maybe ask which rooms might be best if you prefer the dark! Air con very good and warm shower. The food is delicious, both breakfast and dinner....

"The location is convenient and there are frequent buses to the nearby bus stop, so transportation is stress-free. The owner and staff speak English well and are very kind. They provided me with maps to show me many tourist spots and delicious restaurants, and assisted me in making my stay more fulfilling. When you go there for the first time, it is difficult to find the location from the outside due to the shutters, but it is located exactly as shown on the map and has a small nameplate....

"Fantastic stay at Marvel Hills. Sarath is the perfect host, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast offerings were plentiful both traditional and western.
