Opened in 1998, the Bellagio is one of the city’s most opulent and extravagant resorts. The hotel’s image was given an extra boost in 2001, when it featured as the backdrop for the Hollywood film “Ocean’s Eleven”. Inspired by the town of Bellagio on Lake Como in Italy, the hotel is famous for its 3-hectare lake, which hosts an incredible fountain show every night. The ceiling of the hotel’s foyer is another big draw, as it showcases the beautiful Fiori di Como art installation which includes over 2000 coloured glass flowers.

If you want to try your hand at gambling, then the Bellagio’s elegant casino is a memorable place to play. The glamorous casino takes up an entire floor, and is home to over 2,300 slot machines. Even if gambling is not your thing, there is plenty to keep you entertained at the Bellagio. Visit the luxurious spa and salon for some indulgent pampering, walk through the ever-changing botanical gardens and conservatory or catch a showing of the Cirque du Soleil’s fantastic O production.

You can’t come to Vegas and not catch the Bellagio’s nightly fountain show. The Fountains of Bellagio are situated just outside the main entrance, and every night a choreographed water show set to music takes place, with over 1,200 illuminated water jets shooting into the sky. Depending on the time of day, the shows run every fifteen or thirty minutes and are completely free.

The Bellagio Resort is located right in the middle of the Strip, and can be reached by monorail, public bus and mini-bus shuttle.
