"My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Royal Coop Suite at the Casa Donna Rosa Bed and Breakfast. We felt like royalty between the stunning accommodations and the attentive host. "i hope people use this hotel as it appears to be a mum and her daughter making a go of it - and though quirky it is an ok experience. What is a problem is - its in the middle of nowhere and expedia sent me the wrong name. You told me it was called (unusually )HOTEL IN FRONT OF LAKE ARENAL. And it was 15 miles from LA FORTUNA. After driving 45 minutes a kindly restaurant owner called the lady and gave me directions. I would still be looking now - its called LAKE 2 and even that is poorly signed....

"This is a lovely hotel just outside La Fortuna. A rushing river runs behind the property and the grounds are filled with interesting birds. The room was brand new and the breakfast was good. You pretty much need a car to get to town for dinner or anything else, but the tour companies will come to get you for the various adventures. The only restaurant nearby was Mary's BBQ and we had a bad meal and rude customer service there. Read the reviews before you have anything more than a drink there."
