"This was our first night in Costa Rica. We picked to stay here to split the drive to la fortuna and to be able to stop at Rio Celeste. It’s close to Rio Celeste. The town itself seems abanded. The owner of this property is very sweet. The area is loud, close to the road and constantly hearing traffic. The cabin type room has a large portable fan which was great. Shower works well. Good stay for 1 night. "

" I’m very picky about cleanliness so I chose this cabin because I could see while blankets & towels in the pictures & they didn’t disappoint me! All was perfectly clean & organized The mattress & pillows were very comfortable. Someone said it was hard to locate the place but just following Waze or Google maps we made it to their parking with no problem. We stayed in the Chalet and had amazing views. Overall the property was great but highly recommend checking in during the day due to the 2km drive off the main road to the property. "

"Friendly staff and well kept property. They could use more outlets in each room. They may need a little heating source in their rooms or maybe more blankets for cool nights. They did our laundry quickly for $25 (since we came back from zipping soaking wet). "

"We stayed in Villa #1 which is a 2 bedroom suite. It is perfect. The weather was not so great for the two days we stayed, but we still enjoyed the place very well because of the beauty of the villa and the surroundings. We saw a lot of birds, a big family of peccaries, and two coatis. We went to Mistico park early in the morning before the tourist traffic picked up. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend the horse riding tour as well which is right by the park. The location of the lodge makes it so convenient to enjoy the best out of the mountain."

Convenient location, good breakfast

"Casa Madonna offered a convenient location close to our activities in Monteverde. We did the Santa Elena Reserve and Salvatura Adventure Park. Both were amazing and Casa Madonna worked out well. The breakfast was good. Service was friendly and helpful. The room was minimal but the beds were comfortable. It was damp /humid in a basement room, but clean. They did not supply soap in the room, so be sure to bring your own for handwashing. "

"Over we had great time at the place. Great views and staff are friendly. Restaurant staff are okay as some of them are not friendly. The menu was not good and not many options. It is good to have a shuttle service to downtown for shopping, eating etc. staff are very nice and friendly. "
